Can I control how long a PC is online if on a wireless broadband connection?

I need to control the amount of time my clients daughter is on the internet or using chat software.  She's using Windows XP, on a DLink wireless network sharing ADSL.  He also wants to turn this control on and off remotely.    So in short,  he wants to be able to control her internet usage fom his home PC and outside the home if need be.

I don't know of any parental control software that does this, does anyone have any suggestions?

500 points for the best Idea!

Thanks Guys

Terminator

Users hogging computers? Kids staying on the Internet too long? With Terminator, you can restrict the amount of time users can spend on a PC. You can set the PC to automatically logout, reboot or shutdown at a specific time each day (eg. 5:30pm), or you can set it to logout, reboot or shutdown after a set period of time (eg. 60 minutes).  Simple to setup and run, Terminator is invisible to users - they won't even know it is running.
* Logout, Reboot or shutdown your PC at a specified time, or after an elapsed period of time
* Optional forced exit mode will force non-compliant applications to close
* Password protected
* Enable or disable automatic startup when Windows starts
* Shut down instances of Terminator
* Dynamic updating of settings when Terminator is already running
* Runs on Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP

Ah nuts all that does is shutdown the machine rather than monitoring internet time usuage.

You can use something like NetNanny4 which allows you to setup windows when access is allowed & specify when it's not.  It has some limited control on chatroom access and you can setup lists of sites that are either blocked or require admin privileges to access.  I have the same problem with my kids who have USB wireless adaptors on their desktops.
I just pull the plug on the access point!

M :o)
Remotely ? That's difficult. However, there are lot of softwares which monitor the Internet Usage. If you want something to be done remotely then you need to go for servers using which you can allocate the resources for the other computer accoring to the need.

Hope it helps
